Tour: Manufacturing Facilities
Fee: $100
Find out about some of the emerging solar technologies soon to be on the market. This tour will visit 2 sites:
The Solaria Corporation: At its manufacturing facility, the company starts with standard crystalline silicon solar cells and then using advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes, singulates the cells into strips which are then packaged and attached to an optical front cover.
Applied Materials:Tour Applied Materials AKT Facility to learn about production of its SunFab thin film production line. The tour will also visit the Apps Lab where the company conducts R&D activities for its display and thin film solar products. As a bonus, the group will also see a 1MW parking lot and a 1MW rooftop installation on the Applied Materials campus.

Interconnection Symposium
Fee: $200 ($275 after June 15, SolarTech members receive a $50 discount)
The SolarTech Interconnection Symposium brings together industry, utilities, regulatory agencies, building jurisdictions and other stakeholders connecting solar to the grid.
Through this highly interactive format, participants will collaborate to further shape standardization of interconnection methods, standards, and proposed metrics across the photovoltaic (PV) industry in CA and beyond.
